ETYMOLOGY

The creation of the wastecoat is attributed to the King of England and dates back to 1666, during which Samuel Pepys wrote in his diary of a new garment, the vest that King Charles the 2nd wanted to launch as a response to French trends. Inspired by garments already existing in Persia and India, the vest is still known today as such in the USA.

Our Brian Waste coat are made in Italy in artisanal family run workshops, using 100% technical fabric and a cut and sew tecqnique.

WHATS SPECIAL/FINISHING

Assembled by a specialist with a cut and sew technique, with padded lining finishing and Zipper Closure.

FINISHING

It is padded, lined with our signature fabric the Ink Splatter and features a graphic motif which is representitive of the Safari SS23 collection.

Fabric Composition

Our label is stitched in by hand in a japanese quilting technique for each garment to ensure its authenticity.
