The creation of the Pullover has always been erroneously attributed to the Medieval period during which congregations of master craftsmen devoted themselves rather to the creation of ornamental garments, mainly used by the ecclesiastical class. The real sweater is in fact a relatively modern garment, which dates back to just over a century ago, made to support soldiers in the trenches forced into the most extreme living conditions.
