ETYMOLOGY

The word hood derives from the Anglo-Saxon word hōd, ultimately of the same root as an English hat. The garment's style and form can be traced back to Medieval Europe when the preferred clothing for monks included a hood called a cowl attached to a tunic or robes. It became popular in the 1970s as hip hop culture developed in New York City around this time and high fashion also took off during this era. People embraced and glamorized the new relaxed style of clothing.

The medium weight felpa is cut into our custom shape, that gives you a buff shoulder and generous fit.

WHATS SPECIAL/FINISHING

The Hero Hoodie features on the chest a tone on tone PEOPLES OF ALL NATIONS embroidery. The patches on the left sleeve head are held in place by velcro and can be exchanged. Explore our offering of patches and the ability to customize them.

Our label is stitched in by hand in a japanese quilting technique for each garment to ensure its authenticity.
